Powys has produced a useful guide of what can be recycled at the kerbside collections and what can be recycled at the Potters Household Waste Depot in Newtown.
In addition, some items can be recycled in Llanidloes:
Batteries: small batteries including hearing aid ones can be recycled at Llanidloes Dental Practice, Valentine Court.
Cardboard: there are two large skips at the Groe Carpark, Chapel Street SY18 6EN for cardboard though they are often overfull.
Crisp packets: Used to be recycled by the Junior School but that is no longer happening. However they can be recycled at the Coop in Llanidloes. There is a special container just inside the doors.
Electricals: small electricals can be recycled at the Groe Carpark, Chapel Street SY18 6EN.
Soft Plastics: can be recycled at the Coop in Llanidloes. There is a special container just inside the doors.
Spectacles: Woosnam & Davies in Llanidloes or Specsavers in Newtown
Textiles: there is a container at the Gro Carpark, Chapel Street SY18 6EN
